02 Dec The Place of Purpose in your Future
Everyone’s dream of a glorious future is to be in a place like heaven on earth. A place where we need not worry about our past; our failures; our loss; and the place of joy that frees us from earthly struggles. A place that will be an escape route from the past and a place of pleasure. A place that will just be so perfect and unique.
Actually, most people wake up each day looking forward, desiring and hoping to see this day where the future they have been imagining in their mind will finally emerge, so they can totally be free. What a glorious day that will be when the future has finally emerged as desired, but the important questions are;
Will you fulfill your purpose?
Is it going to be a burial place for your potentials, abilities, talents, skills, knowledge and even experience?
Is it going to make you a liability to humanity or a place that will make you an asset?
Personally, these questions left me with a change of desire for the future. Because God has invested so much into my life that I don’t want to disappoint Him. The reason God will bring me into the future is because he has an assignment for me to fulfill His agenda for the world. The assignment is to make my life a blessing on the earth.
The future is not a place for pleasure or a place of escape from the past but a place of purpose. When the purpose of a thing is not known abuse is inevitable.
Ralph Waldo Emerson said “the purpose of life is not to be happy. It is to be useful, to be honorable, to be compassionate, to have it make some difference that you have lived and lived well.”
Purpose and the Future
Life is a gift with a purpose. And the purpose is making it count by touching lives and reconnecting them to the Creator. The best gift you can give is to plant it as a seed that grows into a forest and be a blessing. Our ability to dream, to create and innovate are the gifts we have been blessed with. This gives us the capacity to bring the future we desire into the present to make positive impact on humanity. The impact you make in a moment is more important than the opportunity that creates it.
It doesn’t really matter how long you are going to be spend on earth. How much money you have. How much attention you have received. What makes the difference is the amount of positive vibrations you have radiated in life?
The future you should dream of is a future of selflessness, sacrifice and one that will bring hope to this generation and generations after us.
Finally, I can’t wait for this future to emerge touching lives beyond imagination. I am now a changed person. A person that bring hope and smile on the face of others including my Creator and am glad for the kind of person I am becoming.
